Colonial Park

Located on the banks of the Roanoke River, the Colonial Park is a great place to spend an afternoon. This quaint little town has some of the finest waterfront dining, shopping, and recreation on the East Coast. It also boasts the largest boat dock in the region, as well as some of the best sunset views in the state.

The colonial park is conveniently located within the downtown area, giving it an advantage over other waterfront communities in the region. In addition to its amenities, you'll find that the community is a welcoming one. During the winter months, residents are treated to a plethora of ice skating and snow tubing opportunities. You can also take advantage of the on-site car service to local stores. This community also has a slew of seasonal activities, including the Water and Music Festival held each June.

The park features a number of landmarks, including the Barker House, which is the stately home of the Chowan County Arts Council. There are also two noteworthy museums, the Chowan County Museum and the Edenton History and Heritage Center. The museum has a number of artifacts dating back to the founding of the town in 1750, including some of the oldest shipwrecks in the Southeast. The museum also houses a large collection of artifacts dating back to the early 1900s, courtesy of the Chowan County Historical Society. The museum also has an impressive collection of Native American art. Don't miss our next post.

The park also features a number of other notable attractions, including a museum, the Chowan County Golf Course, and a number of golf and fishing courses. It's also home to some of the best camping in the state, as well as the Hamilton Branch State Park. Aside from the usual suspects, Colonial Park also boasts of being in close proximity to the best restaurants in the region, which include a number of local seafood joints. It's also a great starting point for your Inner Banks adventure. Lastly, the park is conveniently located a short drive from the Charleston, SC, and Myrtle Beach, NC airports. It's also about a half hour drive from the beaches and attractions of North Myrtle Beach and Surf City, NC. Learn more about what we do.

The site is also home to Edenton's 300 year celebration, the largest in the state, and the annual Water and Music Festival in June.

The site also features a nifty nautical ode to its neighbors on the Inner Banks. The park also has a few other notable features, including a boat launch and the best view of the Roanoke River Lighthouse. In addition, the park is a great place to kick back and enjoy the scenery.
