Prarie Ridge Ecostation
Located in Raleigh, North Carolina, Prairie Ridge Ecostation is a 45-acre field station dedicated to providing an outdoor learning environment. It was established by the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences to promote environmental education and scientific research. It features educational programs, a stream, ponds, and prairie grasslands. It is located at 1671 Gold Star Dr, Raleigh, NC 27607. Not too far from our location in Morrisville.
The Ecostation offers a variety of educational programs and activities, promoting environmental education and renewable energy resources. It is also home to BioBlitz, a citizen science project where individuals can take photos of plants and animals and then share them online. In addition, the Ecostation hosts a variety of nature playdays. It is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. The Ecostation is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
The Ecostation also offers the TRACK Trail, a half-mile trail that meanders through the prairie grasslands and ponds. It is accessible from the gravel parking lot. It offers visitors a chance to see the prairie grasslands, bottomland forests, and ponds that are found throughout the prairie. It is a trail that is both easy to navigate and fun for the whole family. It is also a snake-friendly trail.
Another feature of the Ecostation is the green roof, which is an experimental platform for the proposed dormitory green roof. The roof is covered with pre-grown prairie grass seedlings and mixed flower seedlings. It also features a cistern that collects rainwater from the roof and minimizes the impact on local fresh water sources. It is also a natural ventilation classroom, allowing for zero percent runoff with recycled stormwater.
The Ecostation is open from 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Visitors are welcome to hike the trails on a designated day. It is also a place for scientific research, providing opportunities for young scientists to participate in experiments and participate in scientific research.

The Ecostation Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Prairie Ridge Ecostation. He or she must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work well under tight deadlines. The Ecostation Manager must also have exceptional attention to detail.
