Therapy for Women in Morrisville, NC

You're holding a lot.

Work. Family. Relationships.

The mental load of keeping everything running while making sure everyone else is okay.

And somewhere in the middle of all that, you've lost track of what you need.

You're tired. Not just physically—though that's part of it—but tired of feeling like you're never doing enough.

Tired of the anxiety that won't quiet down. Tired of putting yourself last and wondering why you feel so empty.

Therapy gives you a space that's just for you. A place to breathe, process, and figure out what you actually want—not what everyone else expects.

At Morrisville Counseling and Consulting, we work with women across the Triangle who are ready for something to change.

When Life Feels Like Too Much

Women are often taught to keep going no matter what. To be strong. To handle it. To take care of everyone else first.

But that kind of pressure builds up. And eventually, it shows up somewhere: anxiety that won't let you sleep, resentment in your relationships, a sense that you're going through the motions without actually being present.

A lot of women come to our Morrisville office when they hit a wall. They're functioning—getting through the day, checking the boxes—but something feels off. They're not sure if they're burned out, depressed, or just overwhelmed.

Sometimes it's all three. And sometimes it takes a conversation with someone outside your life to figure out what's actually going on.

That's what therapy is for.

What Women's Therapy Helps With

Every woman's experience is different. But here's what brings most women to our office on Slater Road:

Anxiety and overwhelm. Racing thoughts. Constant worry about things you can't control. The feeling that something bad is about to happen even when things are fine.

Depression and low mood. Feeling flat, disconnected, or stuck. Losing interest in things that used to matter. The heaviness that makes everything harder than it should be.

Relationship struggles. Communication breakdowns with your partner. Boundaries that keep getting crossed. Friendships that drain more than they give.

Life transitions. Career changes, becoming a mother, divorce, empty nest, aging parents. The moments when your identity shifts and you're not sure who you are outside of your roles.

Self-worth and identity. Feeling like you're not enough. Comparing yourself to others. Losing yourself in work, parenting, or caregiving.

Trauma and past experiences. Things that happened years ago that still affect how you feel and how you show up today.

What to Expect in Therapy

Your first session is about getting to know each other. You'll talk about what's bringing you in, what's been hard, and what you're hoping to get out of therapy.

There's no pressure to have it all figured out.

From there, sessions are shaped by what you need. Some weeks you might want to process something specific. Other weeks you might need to vent.

Some sessions focus on patterns—how you think, how you react, what's keeping you stuck.

We offer both in-person and telehealth appointments. Our office is off Slater Road near Park West Village, minutes from Cary Parkway, I-40, and I-540.

Telehealth makes it easy if you're juggling a packed schedule or prefer to meet from home.

A Space That's Just for You

When was the last time you had an hour that was just about you?

Not about your kids, your partner, your job, or your to-do list—just you?

Therapy is that space.

You can talk about whatever's on your mind without worrying about burdening someone or being judged. You can process feelings you've been pushing down.

You can figure out what you want, not just what you should do.

Your therapist isn't there to tell you what to do or to fix you. They're there to help you understand yourself better—and to support you as you make the changes you want to make.

You've spent a lot of time taking care of other people.

This is your turn.

You deserve peace of mind.
We can help you get there.

Step 1: Schedule a Free 15-minute phone consultation.

Consultations will be held over the phone. Not over video or telehealth. At your scheduled time you will receive a call from 484-682-9281.

Step 2: Our Staff will create a plan and walk with you through your journey.

Step 3: Start living and feeling the way you’ve always wanted!
